Beulah is a village in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Benzie County. The population was 342 at the 2010 census. It is located in Benzonia Township at the southeast end of Crystal Lake, about one mile (1.6 km) north of Benzonia on U.S. Highway 31 (US 31). Beulah was founded in 1880 by Charles E. Bailey. Its name comes from Isaiah 62:4. The Beulah post office was established in 1892.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.43 square miles (1.11 km²), all land.

Demographics

As of the census of 2010, there were 342 people, 161 households, and 81 families residing in the village. The population density was 795.3 inhabitants per square mile (307.1/km²). There were 375 housing units at an average density of 872.1 per square mile (336.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.0% White, 0.3% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.6% from other races, and 0.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.
